Telescopes for Spitzbergen
On 4 February MT Mechatronics signed a contract in Oslo for the turnkey delivery of two 13-metre VLBI 2010 telescopes to the Norwegian Mapping Authority.
During the Arctic summer 2016 the telescopes will be installed on base towers in Ny-Ålesund, Spitzbergen, which are being provided by the client. With this order MT Mechatronics is successfully continuing its series of deliveries of the VLBI 2010. Telescopes of this type have previously been installed in Spain, on the Azores, on Tenerife and in Japan.
